Researching the Modern Middle East

For this assignment, which we have already discussed in class, you will be doing research. For those of you in Mr. Ehret's class, this research will culminate in writing a personal narrative from the perspective of a particular character whose setting/background/culture/history you will be researching.

Your assignment is this:

Create ONE post where you do the following:

1--Begin with a question.
2--Research that question.
3--Below the question, post your findings in 60--300 words below the question (using quotes and links to websites when necessary).
4--Include at least TWO images, audio, or video in your post
5--Ask at least 3 more questions (these may or may not be related to the first question), and repeat steps 2,3, and 4 for this question.
6--Once you have finished all this, NOTIFY me be posting a comment under this post OR by sending an email (with a link to your blog) to rmcmaken@mdchs.org

Additionally, keep these things in mind --
**As an author, you should be asking questions that will help you write an authentic story that even someone from the region you are studying might believe. It may be helpful to know very sepecific details about:
the geography of the town or city
daily life
family responsibilities
recent history
religion and life
and any other aspects of life that a narrator might incorporate into her/his story**
